2013 Special Permit Training for Pesticide Handlers
“Special Permit Trainings” will again be held so pesticide handlers can meet DEC requirements for on-site supervision when applying Federally-restricted materials. Permits issued last season are not valid for 2013.

In recent years, attendance has outgrown the room space at both the Hudson Valley Lab and the CCE Columbia County Extension offices, so our first training this year will take place at the Holiday Inn of Kingston, a new venue for this workshop but a familiar one to fruit growers (we have held our annual Fruit School at this site for many years).

You must pre-register your workers before the events so we can provide DEC with names for the permits.

Supervising applicators must attend for the first half hour with their workers. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early for paperwork processing.

March 29, 2013 - 9 am - Noon at the Holiday Inn, 503 Washington Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401
April 24, 2013 - 9 am - Noon at the NYS DEC Region 3 Office, South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, NY 12561
